Poi-Kalon architectural ensemble in Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Silk Road cities & open landscapes

Follow the stories between the great cities.

Tiled courtyards, market visits and unhurried city walks shape this sample Uzbekistan journey. Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara offer a focused introduction without trying to cover all of Central Asia at once. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan provide alternative routes to explore when discussing a holiday from Pakistan.

7–10 nights · suggestedHeritage walks with time between cities
Reasons to go

A region with a rhythm of its own.

Places to consider: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.

Samarkand's architectural detail

Build a visit around the Registan and other selected heritage sites, with time to appreciate their individual stories.

Bukhara on foot

Let a guided introduction provide context, then return to favourite streets at a more relaxed pace.

Markets and local craft

Make room for browsing and conversations rather than treating market visits as a brief stop between monuments.

Imagine your itinerary

A starting point.
Endless possibilities.

Sample itinerary for inspiration. This is not a scheduled departure or confirmed package. Routing, availability, inclusions, and price are agreed in your individual quote.

Days 1–2

Begin in Tashkent

Allow time to settle in before exploring selected city areas and a market, with breaks built around your group's comfort.

Days 3–4

Discover Samarkand

Travel to Samarkand and dedicate separate sessions to the Registan and other chosen sites. Confirm transport when dates are set.

Days 5–6

Slow down in Bukhara

Stay near a suitable sightseeing base and divide heritage walks across two days, leaving an afternoon for independent exploring.

Days 7–8

Return with breathing space

Travel back towards your departure city, avoiding an unnecessarily tight connection before the international flight.

Before you set off

A few things to plan ahead.

Dress for heritage visits

Carry clothing appropriate for religious sites and follow local access guidance. Some visits may involve steps and uneven surfaces.

Confirm the actual connection

Rail seats, schedules and transfer arrangements require date-specific checks. Do not assume a particular train is included in this sample.

Make comfort part of the route

Plan walking time around the conditions and request regular breaks. Share meal requirements instead of assuming every venue meets them.

A little clarity

Your questions, answered.

Can I add a mountain destination?

A separate mountain stay can be considered after reviewing the season, travel distances and your preferred activity level.

Is this a pilgrimage package?

This is a cultural sample itinerary. Specific religious visits can be discussed and would need to be clearly listed in your proposal.

Are visas included?

No inclusion is implied. Current entry requirements and any assistance requested must be checked for your passport and final route.
